Would you believe me if I said, you can have more time, if you give yourself more time?
Wait....wait...hear me out.
Do you find yourself saying "I'm too busy" or "I have no time"? I did.
Four short years ago, I was an overwhelmed mess. I was always "too busy" or "had no time". I really didn't have any full time friends because I was so consumed with my to-do list(s), the things I "should" be doing-according to societies beliefs/expectations/judgement, and a job that I did to satisfy others.
The moment I started giving myself time everyday to do something I loved, the happier I got, the more energy I would get, AND the more time I had!! You may not believe me now, but trust me when I say- It works!
Quick concept: Right from my 5 year old- "Fill your bucket before you give to another bucket"- Take care of yourself, so you can truly enjoy and take care of your children.
It isn't even a lot of time. Start with 10-15 minutes. That's it! If you have ever worked with me, or you have read my book, "The Busy Mom's Greatest Companion", you would have heard me say this before.
Tips to Having More Time:
1. Do more of what you love! That's right- putting yourself first for a whole 10-15 minutes.
Take care of you- it's not only for you but also for everyone who touches your life.
***Warning!!! You may become addicted and want more time :).
2. Say no when it is not good for you. When you want to say no, say no. Everyone has the right to say no, just as they have the right to say yes.
(This can be a tough step, I am here if you need more support or want more information)
3. Be easy on yourself. When you're at a low point- or overwhelmed with busyness, it can be hard to see anything good. There will be good days and bad days. The bad days will get easier to overcome, the more time you give yourself because, well, you'll be happier!
