Gratitude is an important focus of everyday. There is always something to be grateful for even in dark moments. Practicing gratitudes daily can greatly improve how you feel and the quality of your day.
You will notice instantly how much better you feel as you are focusing more on positivity rather than negative and are inviting more positive events to occur each day. Not only will you feel better, but you will also impact others around you as well in an amazing way.
Have you ever noticed how you feel when you're surrounded by a negative individual? A person whom complains regularly and everything is just so terrible? It doesn't make you feel good and it definitely doesn't make you want to be around that person all the time. Of course, you can find a negative in every situation, but you can most definitely find a positive instead!
Don't get me wrong, I am definitely not saying to keep it all in and never vent. Please do, it's healthy, but it is very unhealthy to constantly focus on the negative. There is a great deal to be thankful for everyday, just start looking and appreciating. Did you wake up this morning? Do you have amazing people around you that love and support you? Do you have a roof over your head? Food on your plate? Were you able to go to school as a child? Did you make someone smile today? You get my point; even the little things are big things to be grateful for.
I have a challenge for you, if you're not doing this already. Every morning wake up and write a minimum of 3 things you are grateful for. Throughout the day, if a hard situation arises, reference back to your gratitudes to remind yourself that there is things to be thankful for in your life. When you go to sleep do the same. Give yourself permission to be happy, grateful, and enjoy your life everyday.
